These adorable curlers + 12 hour beauty sleep =

Really cutesy curls! This was taken with my phone (front camera sucks, and I can’t take a decent picture with my back camera at all!) before I headed off to school for my Health Care midterm. (If I fail, well I might as well fail with style.) Kidding aside, I honestly did not feel like studying for the test, I ended up browsing through the powerpoint presentations the night before, it helped a little - thank goodness!

The curls come out really tight at first, nothing a little brushing won’t fix. I only put in light hairspray because my hair does not hold curls well, and hairspray weighs the curls down. Trust me, the results are DISASTROUS if too much hairspray is applied, my hair still straightens out and I’m left with a sticky mess - yuck.

I really love the beachy waves I get after the curls straighten out a little. ;)

My family spent the Sinulog weekend away from all the brouhaha. Since we’re a big family with little kids, my parents don’t like going to see the actual parade - it’s such a hassle. So we spent it in the wonderful Shangri-La Resort. One of my favorite places! Too bad though, the dinner that came with the rooms were only valid on weekdays. We enjoyed the stay nonetheless. 

I absolutely couldn’t resist bringing my new favorite bag with me! You could only imagine the look on my face when I saw the FedEx package! It’s a lot smaller than I expected, but just enough to fit in my essentials (wallet, kikay kit, Starbucks planner, and shades). I just find the buckle straps annoying - they don’t make for easy opening and closing. My friends now call me “the girl with the green bag” (Confessions of a Shopaholic, anyone?)

And as you can see, my hair is all wavy. Well, remember those strawberry foam curlers I bought a while back? Well, this is the result they yield after four hours (or something like that). More on that in my next post ;)

OKAY. 2 reasons why this look doesn’t go to lookbook:

1. The DSLR ran out of juice, had to use my phone, the quality of the camera on my phone isn’t terrible, but the lighting is and the flash does not help. At all.

2. It rained on me, hence the wet hair and (if you look closely) the wet shoes. 

BUT i just had to blog about this because I am sooo happy that my satchel (♥♥♥) finally arrived! It actually arrived a day after my birthday! Way to go Daddy’s birthday gift!♥

So, I wore this outfit to church and to my friend’s (and neighbor’s) house for dinner. AND this photo was taken at 11 in the evening, so I had no other choice but to settle for indoor lighting in my sister’s messy room :/

OMG! My dad is running 42k tomorrow for the Cebu City Marathon! Wish him luck people! He ran last year, coincidentally the marathon fell on the same date my debut was held, don’t even get us started on the father daughter dance! His legs were jelly, my feet were squished. 

And since it’s 2012, the birthday girl gets to be in the center :))

Waffles, my doggie, was scared of the fireworks. I think he needs a bath :/

I cannot even begin to emphasize how blessed my 2011 was. It was a HUGE year for me. If anyone asked me at the start of 2011 what I think my year would end like, I would never have thought this is how it would be. I might not have made it into the Dean’s list, or top of my class, or on one of the most hyped on Lookbook, but this year has been huge nonetheless. 

And the some of the people who made it HUGE are in the first picture :) God put them in my life for a reason. It’s been the happiest year so far - with my new group of friends (an equally HUGE group), and with Mike. It’s been our happiest year as well. ♥

Yipee! It’s Christmas! Learned something valuable in church today, the priest said, “It’s not about what you get this Christmas - it’s about WHO you have.” And I’m proud to say that I’m blessed with more than I deserve! Stay blessed everyone! Don’t forget the reason for the season :)

So, the dude in the pic is my Mike :) He’s spending Christmas in Iligan and Cagayan de Oro (yeah, right after the Sendong disaster.) A large chunk of his family lives there — thankfully, they’re all in tip top shape!

So the reason for the title is that tomorrow, Dec. 22, is our third anniversary. YES, that long. :)) teeheee :)
